Celebrate, Remember, Fight Back: RELAY FOR LIFE 2008

Have you been affected by cancer? Want to make a difference?

Each year, across the nation, one event brings together entire communities to take part in the fight against cancer. That event is the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. It's a time and place where people come to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those we've lost, and fight back against a disease that touches too many lives.

This year, the Northfield Relay for Life is going to be outside, overnight, and themed! The theme is "Spotlight on the Cure: A Movie Theme," and there will be a fabulous line up of entertainment and contests with great prizes that complement the theme. We encourage you to rally together your friends and family to form teams, fundraise, and then come spend the evening of Friday April 25th with us as we honor survivors, raise awareness, and build community together. This year's honorary survivor is Northfield High school student, Jim Penning, who will be speaking during the opening ceremony.
The big event will take place on from 5pm on April 25th to 5am on April 26th at St. Olaf College's Manitou Track.

Please join us for an unforgettable night as students, community members, and cancer surivors come together to celebrate, remember, and fight back! Go to www.nfldrelay.blogspot.com/ and click on the link to SIGN UP or go directly to
